About

Founder, Tēfa Hallock

Tēfa's summers were full of adventures at Our Lady of Good Counsel Camp near Dunnellon. It was there she first encountered the Rainbow River and fell deeply in love with the diversity of springs ecology. Her desire to protect these unique habitats led her to the Environmental Studies program at Rollins College, where she focused on Policy and Urban Growth Management. During her time at Rollins, she interned with the Department of Environmental Protection helping researchers determine the root cause of filamentous algae proliferation in the Wekiva River system.
